This seemed like the dumbest band of broads and guys I've read about in a minute. They were supposedly so ruthless and dangerous, yet Chyna and Q were the weakest links of them all. A lot of it didn't even make sense as to how and why certain things transpired and they were too careless and sporadic to have actually gotten away with a lot of these crimes in real life. I was shocked to see this series has as many as 7 parts in it. This definitely wasn't the worst read, but these characters got on my nerves so much throughout the book that it was a struggle for me even to give it a 3. I won't be reading the rest of this series.Product details

I have read the first three series of this collection and I love the story and the suspense that S. Alexander writes. I am reading the editions. I give these three books 5 stars and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I am not a reader of Urban fiction, but this series has kept my attention from the first page to the last. There are a lot of twists and turns and then you are surprised by who is really behind the whole mess that is happening with this family. Sounds like a movie in the making. Thumbs up to Sonovia Alexander.
From the beginning we see the lives of four young ladies who grow up trusting each other with no limits.on the outside it appears that they all have together but as you get into the book you realize that each one has their own secrets they hope aren't revealed. As their personal lies and deceit start to come to the surface the girls are rocked to their core when they come face to face with family secrets that threaten their freedom and their lives. Will these families escape all harm or will they fall victim to the secrets they've kept? I can't wait to read pat two to find out.
It was a decent book, I enjoyed the characters. I also liked the story line in regards to the families. I will continue to read this series and recommend it to my reading friends. I liked Q, she seemed the most real and didn't take nothing from no one. China what I mean seriously talks all that stuff and lets dude do whatever, blah blah blah she was a lame for real. Ryder needs a story line and you all killed Jewels off way to soon.
I gave 1 star because of all the INCONSISTENCIES and the REPETITION of sentences....I felt like the author wasn' t sure where she was taking the book, or the characters. Could have been good a good story if the author knew where she was going. But she was confused and she confused the hell out of me. I don't know if I should be mad at her or the editor. Whoever edited this you need to fire them and find someone else. Way too many contradictions in the story. Character development was horrible. I can't even feel for the characters because I feel as I still don't know them. Do you know them?? Ugh, poor execution to a good storyline
China was a bad girl until she met her match Chino. Chino was abusive, controlling and down right disrespectful, but China allowed him to treat her anyway for two years. However, all things come to an end; such as, Chino's life.
China, Q, are cousins and Ryder and Jewells are their best friends. Jewells is a dirty bish and you should keep your eyes on her at long times. Ryder, Q and China are some females that are as equal to a man if there was such a thing. The men in their family are ride or die for their family, so you mess with one you are messing with all.
You're gonna have to read the book to find out the good details. This is definitely a MUST read and deserves more than 5 stars, but I can only give 5. Impatiently waiting for book 2!!!
Oh my goodness, words can not describe this book, I can not wait until part 2, you are an amazing writer and I'm so happy and blessed to befriend you....God gives us each a talent and some of us haven't found ours yest but sweetie you got yours and I'm so glad that He blessed you with an amazing mind to put this together. Silent Cries is a well written story by Sonovia Alexander. It is very apparent from the first page until the last that Ms. Alexander has mastered the art of story telling. The author writes at a quick pace which helps the story come alive. Each character is well developed and well defined. There are moments where you would be at the edge of your seat. There are other moments where you will be under your chair!. All in all a very good book that should be shared with the person you love.
